What a inspiring site this is; just by reading about projects I really get happy form all the diversity of people and initiatives and positive places. I can describe myself as a positive and openminded person. Always wanting to learn and open to new experiences and people.
As a "pensionado" my life exists now of only doing things I like and of new experiences. And I have noticed that after years of work with a lot of organizing, thinking and pressure (in the field of people who have a mental limitation ) I really love to do things with my hands; such as working outside in gardening. There are some places where I work on volontary base with a diversity of perople; I learn al lot. As I love the nature I also have done some project kind of jobs; protection of birdnests and deer calves for example.
I ve always loved travelling and learn form other people, other cultures; I have discoverd that workaway is a great wayfor doing this.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've worked most of my live in the care of people who are mentally limited. This in all kinds of jobs; coaching clients, management, training teams, advice and matching, as confident person for clients.

Volunteer work now and before:
Currently I m working in different garden projects in and around my hometown Rotterdam. One is an educational garden; another is a citygarden where all the food and herbs are meant for social projects.Sometimes I help at a carefarm.
The work I do is divers and depending on the season and what is needed. That can be sowing, harvesting, picking fruits, preparing the field but also helping with activities.
I learn so much and I want to learn so much more ...
I also love culture and since about 10 years I participate at the International Film festival Rotterdam (IFFR); 10 days a year I dive into this divers, colourful world and help at the information desk.
Between 2005 and 2011 I worked at transvisie Go; a netwerk for children with gender dysphoria or gender questions. Besides organising meetings for parents of "genderchildren" I also took care of the contact phone; offer a listening ear and help parents to find their way with the questions they have.
