Hello,

We are a French couple, Emilien and Kélig, from Brittany, currently travelling around Australia on a Working Holiday Visa. We’ll arrive in Perth on the 8th of May (afternoon) and will be available to give a hand from the following days.

We’re both very active, easy-going and curious people who love working outdoors, learning new skills and connecting with locals. Your place looks like a great opportunity to experience real Australian life while helping with practical tasks. We’re happy to assist with gardening, maintenance, cleaning, painting, DIY or farm work — and we’re quick learners if you need help with other things too!
We’re flexible with dates and the length of stay around Perth for our first weeks, so we’d love to chat about what you currently need help with and how we could fit in. We also enjoy cooking, sharing meals and good conversations — and we’d love to prepare some Brittany crêpes or galettes for you! 🇫🇷

Languages have always been a window into something deeper for me — not just a tool to communicate, but a way to understand how people think, feel, and see the world. I speak French as my mother tongue and became fluent in English naturally, through years of travelling, building friendships across borders, and working in international environments. English never felt like a school subject — it grew with me, through real conversations and real connections. Spanish came through work and music. There is something about the rhythm of the language — especially in songs — that fills me with joy and makes me want to learn more. A language you can feel through music is a language that stays with you. But perhaps my most meaningful linguistic journey started with Czech. Through my theatre company, I got to take part in cultural exchanges with Czech friends, and I fell completely in love with the sounds and the soul of Slavic languages. That experience led me to start learning Russian — not out of obligation, but out of pure passion for Eastern European culture, its literature, its history, and its people. For me, learning a language is learning a new way of being human. I would love to share that curiosity with the people I meet through Workaway, and maybe learn a few words of theirs in return

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are new here, but we are very motivated to learn and not afraid of physical work or getting our hands dirty. We enjoy being outdoors, working with our bodies, and seeing concrete results at the end of the day, which is why roofing, gardening and general maintenance really appeal to us.

We both love nature and animals and feel comfortable around them, whether it is helping with pets, basic farm tasks or looking after a garden. We are reliable, respectful and used to taking responsibility in our jobs and daily life, so you can count on us to follow instructions carefully and ask questions when needed.
As a couple, we communicate well and work efficiently as a team. We are happy to help with manual tasks (roofing, painting, cleaning, gardening, small DIY), as well as daily household chores like cooking, cleaning and helping in the kitchen. In exchange, we are looking for a cultural experience, to share good conversations and discover local life in Western Australia.
