I currently have a full-time job at home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. But I really enjoy meeting new people and arranging work exchanges in new places, so I'll be trying to fit in more trips in the future.

My first big experience with traveling abroad was from October 2010 to October 2011, when I went to Greece, Turkey, Spain, Italy, England, Ireland, and Denmark doing all kinds of different things...geological fieldwork, public relations, pyrography (burning ancient Greek quotes into wood), cleaning up garbage, rounding up stray cats to be neutered, painting outdoor walls, clearing forest paths, cleaning, serving meals, walking dogs, and lots of other things. Oh, and going to the beach, there was quite a bit of that.

As you can see from the list above, if you have nearly any kind of job to be done, I'm more than happy to pitch in.

I can also edit any kind of writing, help with general computer issues, take pictures, work on any creative or crafty projects, organize disorganized areas, cook a bit, and - oddly enough - give dogs haircuts.

I'm a capable, mature person with lots to offer. I'm a low-key house guest and always put in an honest day's work. When that's finished, I like to explore my surroundings as much as I can, so access to transportation is important.

Kathy and her mom Nancy were super helpers, doing every job well. This included planting my flower and herb boxes, as well as much sanding and painting on my boats. The sanding was particularly dirty work, and they did it willingly.

In addition to all this, I really enjoyed their company. Nancy has an infectious laugh, and Kathy has a grace and wisdom about her. I really enjoyed showing them the area, which they seemed to appreciate.

I highly recommend each of them.

Kathy was like a family member and it is difficult to find so many appreciating words for the work she did and the person she is. It was a great time with her. If this lady is asking to stay with you....... don't hesitate a second.... but accept her immediately. We wish her a wonderful journey on her path.
