Hello😊
We are a couple from Denmark. Kamille is 25 years old and Asger is 27 years old.

Kamille just finished her bachelor degree in Molecular Medicine and Asger finished his master degree in Computer Science. Now we are taking a year off from school/job to travel around the world together. We would love to connect with locals and we think that workaway is the perfect opportunity for that.

We both love to spend time in nature and like to go hiking and camping. We also like to do watersports such as surfing and rowing. We like to be active and try different sports. Asger likes bouldering and Kamille has played badminton for many years.

We have both played music for many years. Asger plays the bass and saxophone (mostly jazz) and Kamille plays the piano (mostly classical) and have sung in choir.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Kamille:
Work experience:
- I have worked as a care worker in a group home for mentally disabled adults with different psychiatric diagnosis and also in another group home for mentally and physical disabled children.
- I've been a mentor for a student, teaching math.
- I also worked as a cleaning assistant at the group home.

Workaway experience:
- ITSB: I was staying 4,5 months with 'In the same boat'. Picking plastic every day, and living on a sailboat. Physically hard work in all kind of weather. Picking and sorting plastic, and carrying the heavy bags. Doing house chores as cleaning and cooking, and boat maintenance. Learning about plastic pollution, the environment, sailing and boatlife.
- 1 week with building project - fixing up a boathouse

- Boretunet: 1 week at a surf hostel, cleaning and preparing rooms.


Asger:
Work experience:
- I have worked as a replacement teacher in the elemtery school where my mother is a teacher. Along this line, I have also been a tutor for children age 10-15 in math and music.
- I have a workshop at home where I do woodwork. Mostly furniture, but I also have experience with larger building projects.
- At University I have been teaching for many years. In this role I was also a guide for new teachers.
- As Computer Scientists/Programmer I have worked for LEGO on creating new toys and interactive experiences for children.
