Description
My name is Justin Jackson and I am currently pursuing a gap year through the Morehead Cain Scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am searching for experiences immersing myself in brand new cultures, specifically by interacting with, helping, or teaching groups of students or children in foreign countries. I have been a private tutor for multiple years and have stepped up as a leader in numerous youth groups within my school and local community. I enjoy cooking, sports, nature, learning languages and music.

I am an avid learner, finding success at all courses throughout the high school and even college level, including advanced calculus, Spanish, literature and various history classes. I frequently work with students as a private tutor, ages 10-20 and also volunteer within my community in a multitude of clubs or organizations that require me to lead groups of peers or younger members. I have spent my whole life outdoors playing sports or exploring nature and am looking to branch out to see as much of the world as possible. I plan on majoring in business, statistics and public policy, hoping to combine these three fields in a career that revolves around my ability to help or teach others.
