I love to be outdoors enjoying nature and am quite physically robust, so can cope with adverse weather and also manual labour.
I am concerned about human impact on the environment and try to minimise my own footprint. I often pick up other people's litter too!
I like to be tired at the end of the day for the right reasons ie feeling that I have exerted myself physically and mentally. The latter would certainly be the case after striving to communicate in a foreign language; I've done this before in Germany. I also enjoy walking, running, cycling and swimming, all of these preferably with like-minded friends.

Happy to assist any age group in acquiring English. However, the purpose of my visit is to overcome my difficulties with spoken French and I hope to find a kind and patient host who can help me gain some fluency.It is some years since I spoke German but I can probably still recall it.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I am a mother of three adult sons, all happily settled in their careers. I was previously a Registered General Nurse. I have a degree in German and I have recently been trying to improve my conversational French, developing on earlier studies. My overseas experience is as follows: I have worked as an au-pair in Germany and as a bi-lingual office assistant, as a chalet girl in an Austrian ski resort and as a community health nurse in a refugee camp in the former Zaire after the 1995 genocide.
My skills encompass all the usual activities of bringing up three children, house-keeping, cooking, driving, teaching, vegetable gardening etc.
