Hi everyone !

My name is Julie and I am 30 years old.
I am coming from France and I've done my first volunteering experience in an hostel in Sofia (Bulgaria).

In France I discovered several areas : I used to live close to Lyon with my family and studied during two years in this city.
Then I mooved to Paris for four years in order to finish my studies and I got graduated in International Business and Management.
I had the chance to live in Canada during 6 months in order to improve my English (I lived close to Toronto in the English part).
I started my professional life as a business development officer in Alsace where I lived for tree years before moving in Poitiers where I was working as an asylum auditor (I hosted people, try to understand them and help them the right way). That is why I am enjoying about discovering new people, skills and cultures.
I'm currently finishing my first experience during a winter season, in Val Thorens (France) where I'm working for a ski shop. During this experience I had to advice people from around the world to pick the right ski equipment.

After all these different experiences I decided to take some time for me and do what makes me feel good. That is why I decided to continue my journey with workaway. I am pretty sure that a second experience as workawayer will keep make me grow. It is a good way to immerse myself in a new culture, to meet new people and I am still conviced that we all have something to learn from each others. Those kind of experiences can teach us humility, open-mindedness and tolerance. Things that I have learned from being an asylum auditor and that I want to keep developing.

As I am a positive, social and dynamic person it will be a pleasure for me to help you with hosting people, keep the place clean and safe for all the backpackers who open the door. I had the possibility to live few days in hostels in different countries and it was one of my most grateful experience, so I would like to bring those kind of memories to people. I like to find solutions, advice and exchange with people so I will do my best to help you to run your hostel.

I also like to spend time with family and friends to talking and sharing precious moments around a meal or a game. I like to practice sports in order to challenge and improve myself. I rode horses for several years, then I swam competitively before getting into fitness, which I practice almost daily.

One of my hobbies is to travel abroad in order to contemplate the multiculture environment and beauty of earth. I am looking forward for my new adventure and may our paths cross.
