Hey,
I'm Julia, a girl from Switzerland, 26 years old. From July to September 2024, I'd likte to make trip to Mongolia, China and after that to Sri Lanka. I want to work and experience the culture in these countries.
The reason I want to do this trip with Workaway is to meet interesting people, live with them and learn more about their culture. In addition, I think I can learn many new and useful skills by participation in a project. I'm sure that this platform will give me the opportunity to experience my trip in a different and positive way.
I was raised on a farm in Switzerland. During my childhood I helped my father on the farm and learned to take responsibility for animals. My family also owns a small restaurant/catering business, which I often helped with as a teenager. After finishing school, I spent a gap year in the Frensh part of Switzerland an learned French. In 2014 I startet an apprenticeship as a management assistant for the government in Switzerland, which I finished in May 2017. After this apprenticeship I did the professional maturity certificate (high school year for a specific direction). After that, I traveled for a year on the African continent, then worked in Switzerland as a marketing assistant for a ski destination, for a cultural manager and in the gastronomy in Lucerne. Currently, I'm studying at the University of Lucerne social work with a focus on social culture, and I'm doing an internship for the social department of the city Lucerne, working with children and teenagers.
I'm a cheerful, nice, active and interested person. I'm open-minded and full of energy to invest in things I love. My hobbies are sport, dancing (salsa), Kite surfing, snowboarding, skiing..., art, spending time with friends, partying and music. I also like to eat well ;-).

I did an apprenticeship as a management assistant for the government in Switzerland. In these apprenticeship I learnt a lot about the different subjects of economy. After these apprenticeship I did the professional maturity certificate (high-school year for a specific direction). There I learnt also the basics about economy, marketing etc.
Currently, I'm studying at the University of Lucerne social work with a focus on social culture, and I'm doing an internship for the social department of the city Lucerne, working with children, teenagers and refugees.

When I had questions, Auldrige, Dennis and Mercy were always there and helped me. Everything was well organized by Auldrige and I've felt me never lost before and after my arrival.
