Like most people who want to do a Workaway, I really love travelling and discovering new places, which is something I have done a fair amount in my life, but now I'm ready for a different traveling experience .
I hope to meet locals and their circles of friends , not be singled out as a tourist, and be immersed in a family / community. I also like the ideas of being busy / helping out / sharing skills and still having some time to be by myself.
I really love the outdoors, and enjoy most outdoor activities, starting with walking / hiking, because it requires so little equipment. I believe in healthy sustainable living, sharing, and respecting others and their opinions.
I'm generally an early riser (I actually prefer the sunrise to the sunset) and I'm more of a listener than a talker (unless it is a one-on-one conversation!). I like humor and fantasy in others. I

I am a certified English teacher and have been teaching English in French oversea territories for 18 years now. I can teach either English or French, which is my native language. I am also interested in learning about any other language.

I have travelled quite extensively, although not so much recently, and know I am able to adjust to different types of situations. My job is teaching English so that is my main skill (other than speaking French which is my first language).
