I am Jonas and I live in the Netherlands in the beautiful city of Utrecht. Since I was young, I have always been interested in other cultures,languages and especially other people. This trip to Peru will be my first solo trip, so somewhat nervous, but mostly very excited to meet a lot of new people and experience new adventures. Workaway seemed like the perfect opportunity to combine both those things! In the first month of my trip, I will be attending a Spanish school in Cusco to learn more and improve my current Spanish so I can connect more with other people!

This is exactly what motivates and brings me true happiness. I would like to see myself as someone who tries to connect and bridge between cultures and people, through meaningful conversations or cooking together. The latter is my biggest hobby, as food is something that connects people.
As I have not been on a solo trip before, I have to still figure out what kind of traveler I am, but most definitely a social one!

For the first month of my trip I will be staying in Cusco and attending a Spanish school for 5 days a week. I will be hopefully speaking a decent amount of Spanish afterwards, but I am always interested to become more fluent.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have worked my whole life in hospitality and were a scout till I was 15, so being a teamplayer does not come strange to me! I have finished my Bachelors´ degree in Interdisciplinary Social Science and speak both Dutch and English and hopefully a decent word of Spanish when I finish my Spanish school. I would like to believe that I am a very decent cook and I am also not afraid to get my hands dirty:) If you need me to change your tire, I might need some help, but I you just need your muscle, I am your guy!
