Hi Workaway Community,

My name is Joel Hall, originally born and raised in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand. In 2022, I completed my Masters in Sustainability and Management before departing on my overseas experience.

Since then, I have been based in the London, United Kingdom and have been able to visit two dozen countries predominately in Europe while backpacking. Having completed these initial travels, I am now pursuing opportunities to contribute to exciting projects and meet some more wonderful people while travelling.

I feel it is time to immerse myself in diverse cultures, languages, and communities is a treasure trove of knowledge and experience. I am excited by the prospect that each volunteering project becomes a unique classroom where I gain practical skills and broaden my perspectives.

In my personal time, I am passionate about history, reading and swimming, I have developed a passion for hiking and biking, but need to further develop my fitness.

Hi,

As a 23-year-old corporate professional who volunteers at food banks and in charity projects. I believe that my diverse experiences and passions equip me with valuable expertise and abilities for various volunteering projects.

I have developed strong organizational, communication, and computer literacy skills that allow me to plan and execute tasks efficiently. These skills are transferable to volunteering initiatives.

Because of my significant corporate experiences, I have not had the opportunity to more fully develop my practical skills, this is part of the reason why I signed up for the Workaway programme. I have previously participated in community planting projects, food banks and as a companion for the elderly.

In conclusion, as a professional who volunteers at food banks and several other community programs. I have a lot to learn about practical tasks, but am excited to do so, I am ready to work hard contributing positively to initiatives that make a lasting impact on the lives of others.
