Hiii, my name is Joana :)) I am 19 years old and currently living in a small village in Germany. I have graduated this summer and was planning for a long time to study directly afterwards, but as I just went backpacking across southern Europe for a month I found out that I really want to take a break from learning in school and want to gain more life experience first.
Travelling has always been very important for me, for example I was in an American high school for half a year during my school time and I really want to get to know more people, collect wonderful, unique memories and learn more about life and myself.
During this break that I am taking I am hoping to be able to participate in great projects, support other people and develop new skills.

As I have taken part in several exchanges during my time in school I have learned how important and fun it is to be able to communicate with people from different countries and cultures. I have never tought a person a language before but I am interested in sharing my knowledge of German and English. French is also possible, but only the basics:)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I am an open-minded and curious person and I love being creative in my freetime. I always need some kind of creative outlet and I love drawing, painting, sewing, crafting, photography...
Moreover, I enjoy making music. Since I was eleven years old I have taken singing and piano lessons.
I can speak English fluently, because I spent half a year in the US and had bilingual classes in school. Furthermore, I speak German as it is my native language and French on a B2 level.
Working together with other people is very important for me. During my freetime, I have been active in a scouts group since I was seven and was the leader of a scout group with eight children for two years, which has tought me to take responsibility of a group. Additionally, it has motivated me to lead an art project with a friend for children at the age of eleven to fifteen in my school.
As my family is full of food lovers, I have been tought to cook by my parents at a young age. Younger me has always cooked for my family with my dad and now I still enjoy trying out new meals if I have the time to do so.
Furthermore, I love sports and even though I do not perform very well in any specific sport, I always need to be active in some way. I really enjoy going on runs, doing fitness, yoga and dancing.
In general I am good in learning quickly and developing new skills as I love to try out new things:))
