I'm Jo, portuguese solo traveller. After many years of a pretty conventional life and a hard time, I've decided to go out there and find something different or just have an amazing time whilst looking..!
I'm a horse veterinarian and a nature lover with a great interest in ethical travelling, conservation and hospitality in general.
I'm a positive person, I take care of others before anything else, love genuine connections - life-long or a cup of coffee-long.
My long term goal is to find a job that I actually look forward to work hard at. I want to be able to combine tourism, photography, nature, providing services to people and nature, travelling for a bit but mainly live in a small community with a strong spirit, lots of animals (and the ocean near) :)

Pleasures: coffee, red wine, dancing, my beautiful family, my crazy friends and the ones I make every day, conservation, nature, planning, photography and ethical travelling.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

By training, I'm a veterinarian and my main experience is with horses in the UK. Lately I've been learning a lot about latin america's wildlife following wildlife vets at different rescue centers, from the amazon rainforest in Ecuador to feeding baby sloths in Costa Rica.
I usually end up taking management or coordinator roles as well because I truly love planning/organising.
I also love working with children, maybe I'm just missing my nieces too much. I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer at a local Kichwa comunity school in the Amazon with small children.
I'm quite good with technology although only a baby on social media :)
I've also worked in a few lodges and hostels which showed me how much I care about working in hospitality and just providing the best service possible.
I definitely want to end up with my own Guest House and eco tourism business.
(think I should change my job? yeah me too...)
