Dear Hosts,

My name is Jie, and I am an architecture student from Columbia University in New York. I am on a 16-month gap year starting in May 2024, during which I would be delighted to dedicate my time to you and to experience the cultural life of various countries.

I have a passion for life and a keen interest in the cultures of different countries. I enjoy working collaboratively with others but am also capable of working independently.

I adore all animals and can name most species in nature (though in Mandarin), and I consider them to be beautiful angels.

I have maintained a routine of sports and fitness for many years, enjoying activities like running, hiking, and skiing, and have completed three marathons. I have good physical strength and fitness.

Mandarin Chinese is my native language, and I am fluent in English. I am always eager to learn new languages to enhance communication.

Thanks to my academic background, I possess substantial experience in architectural design and skilled construction techniques. I have been involved in community projects in Harlem, helping design and repair greenhouses and gardens, which has deepened my practical skills and my commitment to sustainable urban development. I am able to assist with repairing any architectural details and structures. Additionally, I have a strong interest in various arts such as painting, Literature, and sculpture.

I have a strong background in photography and photo editing, and I own a professional camera and a sports VCR, which I use to capture high-quality images and videos. My experience includes shooting a variety of subjects, from architectural projects to landscapes and food. I am confident that I can create stunning visuals of your charcuterie and sausages that will enhance your social media presence and marketing efforts. I post several of my photography works on my Instagram account hellojjjie, and my personal account is hello_jjjie, hope they can help you learn me better.

I am currently self-studying web design and would be happy to assist in designing a website if needed.

I also have many years of experience in indoor plant cultivation and am eager to learn any new gardening knowledge.

To give you an update on my current status, I worked on a farm in Phoenix, USA, from June 1 to June 12, where I helped the host take care of 3 horses, 2 dogs, and a tortoise. My responsibilities included feeding them twice a day, cleaning up their waste, and giving them baths. I am now volunteering at a hostel in Guadalajara, Mexico, contributing to various projects and enjoying my time here.
