Description

My name is Henriette (everyone calls me Jette) and I'm 27 years old. I live in Rostock, a city in northern Germany, close by the baltic sea.
I always wanted to spend some time abroad. I'm planning to go to Denmark in July and August - to Denmark I feel connected in some way. Together with my family and friends I spend many summer holidays there and sort of felt like home - especially on the beautiful Island Bornholm. I always wanted to stay in Denmark for a bit longer. I try to learn the language by myself for a while now but I wish to learn it properly and get to know the danish culture closer.
In 2021 I finished my studies for primary school teaching. Since then I worked in an event agency and in a café, where I also baked and cooked. Right now I'm an assistent in an agency which hosts events and do film and photo projects.
In my free time I like to spend time with friends and family (and my cat), listen to a lot of music, go to concerts, draw, handcraft, cook and bake (for example while trying to improve my Flødeboller-making-skills ;)
Since my older brother did some workaway time in France and made great experiences himself I thought the concept was great. Now I'm looking forward to make my own workaway experiences soon! :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Before I started my studies I worked as a volunteer in a kindergarten for a year. I realized that I like to interact and work with children a lot and decided to study primary school teaching (subjects: german, maths, arts and "Sachunterricht" = it combines areas like science and geography). I finished my studies and have my first state examination in teaching. I also have 4 little half siblings (age 2 to 10). So I'm used to having kids around :)

I'm very sociable and definitely a family person. I'm familiar with taking care of family members and help out wherever I can. I would describe myself as empathic, reliable, self-organized and flexible - I adjust quickly to new situations.

I have a big passion for baking & cooking and creative tasks like decorating, drawing, photography and handcrafting. Whenever a party or event is coming up I love to organize it by myself or help out preparing the food, create decoration, costumes, makeups etc.

I also love to take care of animals and have them around me - like my cat. Caring for the many plants in my flat is also a great hobby of mine. I'd love to learn some more about gardening as well.

I'm always open to learn new skills. Like I said before I wish to learn the danish language properly. I'm very interested in a culture exchange and looking forward to meet new people while exploring Denmark! :)
