Description

I love traveling and Workaway is a great way to create an exchange between cultures and languages. My family started hosting workawayers when I was in 8th grade and we have had amazing experiences. Now, it's my turn to be a workawayer instead of part of a host family. I studied abroad in France during the fall of 2023. I've been traveling ever since I was little and have a great appreciation for the Earth, the cultures, music, art, and food it holds. I'm so excited for whatever travel and experiences my future holds.

I am in my last year of college; I graduate in December '25. I am majoring in Sustainable Food and Bioenergy Systems and minoring in French and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I've worked at farms, interned at a zero waste non-profit, a Sexual Health Collective and worked food service jobs. I love my choices of studies at school and my many hobbies. I am passionate about sustainability, human rights, art, music, cooking, and so much more!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I grew up home gardening and raised a variety of animals from dogs to pigs. I'm currently interning at a small student-run organic farm and am learning more about plants and small-scale farms. I love gardening and farming and am willing to get dirty!

I have experience in metal and wood shops. Last summer, I had a part-time job in construction. I have a general knowledge of tools and their uses as well as skills to put things together.

I took violin lessons for 14 years, piano lessons for roughly 8 years, and played trumpet for roughly 6 years. I also have experience playing guitar and percussion. I love music and almost everyone in my family is a musician. I also love to sing! I consider myself capable of giving beginner instruction on violin, piano, and voice.

I've been taking French language courses since my sophomore year of high school and am planning to become fluent in the next year during my study abroad in France. I consider myself to be a decent writer in English and I was raised by my mom the "grammar Queen"! I'd be happy to help with some translations or work on English language skills. I'd also greatly appreciate help with learning French or any other languages.

I can follow directions well and am willing to learn just about anything you need me to do. I am good at cleaning and basic household tasks. I love cooking and would be happy to help with meal prep/cooking. I've grown up cooking and have even taken a culinary class in college.

Some of my hobbies are arts and crafts, exercising (especially outdoors ex. ultimate frisbee, skiing, hiking), music, playing card or board games, flyfishing, and creating fun recipes in the kitchen.
