Hello, my name is Jess. I´m 28 from Switzerland. I startet my trip in June by bike in Europa and am now in Mexico since the beginning of December.

I worked in an environmental association for cyclism to promote bicycle for a ecolocigal mobility. I have a diploma in environmental councelling and I worked now for several years in the areas of marketing, organisation, projectadministration and some Socialmedia.

Together with 5 friends I was living in a farmerhouse in a little village next to Berne. Lately, we moved to the city of Berne. I love the fact, that I can always go out and do something, but I really have to set time for me in nature to not get overwhelmed by the city.

Two years ago I was travelling for 3 months in Guatemala and Colombia. I learned spanish beforehand and was able to improve it while travelling. I really loved the culture and the easy pace in those countries, I love the language, the climate, the music and so on. That´s why I was sure that I want to come back sooner than later. But I was also sure, that I don´t just want to travel and do "nothing". I want to live in communities, I want to give and to learn something. I want to practice even more my spanish and I want to travel slowly. That´s why I´m here on this platform.

I practice yoga and two years ago I started climbing, but I broke my foot why I'm not able to do it at the moment. I also love travelling by bicycle. June - August 2024 I biked trough Skandinavia and the Baltics. As you can tell, I love beeing active and in nature. Beside that I like to listen to good music, or reading good books. And I am really into planning and organisation of events, parties / projects.

My goal is to learn from existing Communities. To get to know what it means to create an environmental friendly space to host events and people but also to organise workshops etc. I´d love to have my own project in future to combine alternative living-stiles, with anticapitalistic culture and ecology.

I grew up with animals (dogs, cats and a I had my own horse until 2022) I enjoy cooking (vegan/veg) and I enjoy doing tasks in the household. From age 15 to 16 I spend one year in the french part of Switzerland in a family to took care after their kids, doing the chores and learning french.

Sooo more than 10 years later - I really wanted to take a break from the 9-17 job and see all the different possibilities we have on this beautiful planet.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Well, I´m really good with animals and I´m used to do hard work and am not at all afraid to get dirty (like cleaning stables, carrying heavy stuff etc.)
I have a bit experience in gardening, weeding, planting etc. but I would love to learn more about it.
I am very well organised - and I somehow like cleaning.
I am a pretty good vegan cook.

I have a federal diploma in environmental consulting (aka basic understanding in how the different ecosystems work, and more focussed on project organisation, managing, leading, bringing different important actors together, campaigning, digital marketing)
I´m when in flow pretty creative and I worked a bit in social media in my last job and have basic knowledge of some Adobe Tools, Mailchimp, Canva and so on.

So if you´re looking for someone who could help out and learn from you in more construction or permaculture based fields... or you need to anybody to improve your project or tp help you gaining more publicity - I would love to help you.

Autres infos...

I would say that I am an open introvert. After socialicing for a long period, I need some "me-time" to charge. But I will always reach you my helping hand if you need it. I like to learn new things and I will help where I can.

Of course, I would also like to have some free time where I can explore the sourrounding.

  I´m 90 % vegan - sometimes I cheat with chocolate (you know the swiss one ;) If you don´t always cook 100% vegan it´s also ok, but I don´t eat meat at all... If it´s a problem for you to cook vegan - I don´t have any with cooking for myself (or you too)
