Hi, I'm Jess 👋🏼 I love to travel to learn from different cultures, meet new people and experience nature!
I am currently studying for a masters in architecture and with a research interest in common land and community living. I am passionate about sustainability and want to learn how different communities work together and manage resources. I live in the city but volunteer in community gardens when I can, so I would love to get my hands dirty with some farm work. I have experience teaching in the UK (ages 5-16) and enjoy working with children, as well as animals (especially dogs!). I love being out in nature, am an avid hiker and love to try new foods (vegetarian). I'm friendly, easy going and keen to get stuck in to learn as much as I can. I am new to Workaway, but excited! Quelles sont vos compétences ?
- Experience working with children (age 5-16) teaching in schools and running workshops for a girls charity
- Student of architecture with a research interest in common land and community living. Knowledge of construction (but not an expert!). My background is in interior design
- Basic knowledge of agriculture and some gardening experience
- Good with animals, especially dogs as I used to work as a dog walker
- Happy to undertake housekeeping tasks
- Good level of fitness to help with manual labor
- Have worked many other jobs (receptionist, retail, hospitality) that mean I am good with people!
