Description

Hello! I'm Jess, a 28 year old from the north of Scotland. I’m travelling around New Zealand for the next few months and am looking forward to exploring the islands through working on farms and on Workaway projects and hopefully meeting people along the way.

I'm looking to get involved in any kind of permaculture, harvesting, and planting so that I can build up a knowledge of sustainable farming and hopefully use it myself in the future. I’d also really like to experience living in a more off-grid set-up.

I’ve done workaways in vineyards and olive groves, feeding animals and doing weeding and gardening, and am happy to get stuck into any task that’s needed. I enjoy cooking, art projects and physical tasks and would love to learn new skills in DIY and building maintenance.

I really enjoy hiking and spending as much time as possible outdoors. I'm always interested in learning new things, and love the opportunity workaways provide for connecting with people from different places and picking up new skills as well as friendships across the world. I look forward to meeting you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I really enjoy making crafts (costumes, signs and decorations), and painting/drawing which comes in handy in more situations than I had realised! I am also very keen on writing, and blogging, entertaining children, acting, trying to cook interesting things, and working with other people.
I'm always happy to get involved and help with any projects or tasks and am pretty motivated to learn new skills all the time!
