  • Description

We are a young-ish couple (37 & 38) from Scotland that are trying to see and experience as much of the word as possible. We have a passion for helping animals and protecting the environment. For the past 2 years, we have been travelling around Europe (and a little in Africa) exploring the forests and mountains to tiny village life and everything in-between.

Throughout the places we have visited, we've met amazing people and shared many stories. We are committed to making a difference in the world and helping others to make changes in their lives which have a positive impact on our earth.

We both love to learn and develop new skills. We are both quick learners and will give anything a go!

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

    Hello!

    Jen 🏕 -

I am a huge animal lover and have experience with both domestic and farm animals. My husband and I have cared for shelter animals as well as wildlife in many different countries and environments. I trained as a nurse in the UK so my background is in care and looking after people, skills which I feel can be easily transferred to lots of different circumstances.

I like to think I can be fairly handy and will give any task a go! I am a neat and tidy person and love a good clear-out, I find it oddly therapeutic to have things organised (haha!). I am comfortable working in a garden and yard (with tools and machinery) and happy to learn something new. I'm artistic by nature and enjoy doing craft bits. We are trying to live as sustainably as possible so I have been experimenting with making our own cosmetics and skincare. I'm also a keen cook and baker, and have a love for all things foodie. I enjoy the outdoors and love hiking.

Like Jen, I am also a passionate animal lover. I have experience working with domestic, farm and bigger game animals. I have worked in Africa with rangers protecting wildlife.

I would say I'm skilful in handyman jobs and general maintenance. I have experience with driving tractors and operating machinery like a chainsaw. I am happy to do woodwork and have built large dog shelters for stray animals. I generally feel comfortable attempting most tasks and love to learn. Working offshore on oil rigs (NDT - Non Destructive Testing Inspector) I gained skills in engineering and problem solving and developed a comfortable relationship with danger. I love to push myself and get the adrenaline going!

I love to be outdoors exploring the forest and mountains. I am a keen walker and often go for long hikes.

We balance each others skills pretty well and are happy to work independently or together...whatever works for you.

We both have clean, fully drivers licences issued in the UK.
