Hello! My name is Ivy, I'm 28 years old and from Devon, UK. I love the outdoors, wildlife, learning, fun and community above all else :) I am a trainee Forest School Leader and have just started leading my own sessions with home educated kids which I adore! I am also a music producer with a passion for underground music and culture. I am very passionate about social and environmental justice and have a great interest in alternative ways of living, and working with the land (and with eachother) sustainably and mindfully. I have spent time on quite a few land projects and they've been some of the best and most meaningful experiences of my life. I love bugs, wildflowers, folklore and storytelling, cooking vegan food, foraging, games and I am up for a challenge and learning new things. More than happy to get stuck in doing manual work, and love a bit of skill sharing. I'd really like to learn more about permaculture design and growing, tree pruning, carpentry, irrigation methods, plumbing, making balms and tinctures, and fermenting. It's worth mentioning that although I love meeting new people and sharing community, I am autistic so also benefit from my own space from time to time where I can recharge my social battery :) I adore being around like minded people though, and this enables me to do this 🫶🌿🦋 I hope to meet you soon!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I work with kids week to week engaging them with nature through Forest School, so would be happy to facilitate any kind of forest school inspired activities (arts and crafts, team games, den making, bug hunts, possibly wood carving or fire making). I also have worked a lot outside, so would be happy helping with growing spaces, planting, mulching, weeding, etc. I am happy to work alone, or with others. I also have worked on and have limited experience with house renovations (sanding/painting/cutting wood), so would be happy to help with that kind of thing too. I love cooking and can cook veggie/vegan meals for large groups, and I can do all kinds of housework (I have professional experience as a cleaner). I am also very keen to help with creative projects (writing/music/art) etc. I don't mind getting my hands dirty and am up for all kinds of odd jobs, but prefer nature or arts related, or something where I can use my imagination!

My hobbies are making music/DJ'ing, herbalism, reading, hiking, learning about wildlife, festivals, games, sewing, crochet. Skills I would like to learn include plumbing, grafting fruit trees, languages (French and German), how to find water sources, beekeeping, and sustainable growing methods/permaculture/biodynamics. Would be interested in learning about any craft, especially if it relates to wildlife, folklore or sustainability. I want to hear stories about the place I'm staying, and history too.
