Hello! I recently quit my job as an engineer to do some more traveling and volunteering. I did this a few years ago and it was an amazing experience which allowed me to travel all around the world! This time around and for right now, I will be exploring my own country, the United States. I am 34 years old and originally from Cincinnati OH (USA).

Teaching: English language or basic history/geography of the United States. General household and automobile maintenance. I like to work with my hands and build things, especially working outside. I have built an entire house from the ground up. Experienced rock climber. Musician: I play the drums and a little guitar. I have a lot of experience working with computers and other types of technology.

Interested in meeting new people and being exposed to different cultures. I spend much of my free time reading and writing, I am very interested in world history. I speak some Spanish and Portuguese and I would love to learn more. Very interested in learning/helping with Art projects from an experienced artist (Canvas painting, Poetry, etc). Also interested in farming/gardening/working with animals, as I really love the outdoors. Would love to do some more house builds working as a carpenter. Also looking to spend some time working on a boat and learning to sail. I like to work with people and am very handy working with tools, and I am open to almost any job positions.

This was a fantastic workaway, I can’t reccomend it enough! Learning how to build a house was high on my bucket list, and the cultural exchange in New Mexico cannot be overlooked. This ended up being my longest stay so far, ~7 months!

My experience working at this farm certainly exceeded my expectations. I had such a good time I ended up staying 4 months in total!

I had a great time volunteering in the Jordan Valley with Ran and Eyal. I spent most of my time at the organic date farm (fixing sprinklers, collecting palm branches, etc).
