Description

ISABELLE: I am a qualified nursery nurse with lots of experience working with children in a variety of settings from nanny to a children's home with children suffering from mental health problems to nursery settings. I have also worked as a organic gardener for many years and particularly enjoy sharing this passion with children and adults. My latest project was creating a garden with children in an after school club for the protection of bees which was great fun. I started my own business cultivating willow and making live willow structures and sculptures for gardens and green spaces and taught this skill to adults and children. I am currently working in a children's residential home.

I used to do a lot of voluntary work when I was young (20's) and thoroughly enjoyed all my experiences and found each experience so enriching. For the last few years I've been really missing this element in my life so have decided to bite the bullet and join workaway and finally feed this very strong desire to give back all that has been given to me.

I have been blessed with two wonderful children (21 and 18) and a large extended family

ELOISE:
I have recently graduated in Art, and volunteered with different community-based organisations, taking part and organizing artistic workshops with both the elderly and teenagers. I am passionate about the therapeutic power of art, and the way it can bring people together. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and time with others, and creating with all sorts of mediums, painting murals, sculpting, sowing, etc..

I also have a great love for languages, and learning about new cultures. I have experience teaching French (online and in person) to a variety of different levels. I speak fluent English, French and Spanish.
Cooking is another of my passions, particularly food from around the world, as well as singing and dancing.

My mother and I share many interests, and love travelling together. We have wanted to volunteer together for a meaningful cause for as long as I can remember.

We are mother and daughter and have decided to have an adventure together. We both love very similar things and would love to help out in a community were we can share our skills but also get to know the community and have fun. We are both very positive gregarious people and love exchanging and meeting people from across the world. Eloise has just finished her university degree in illustration and teaching French to students and we thought we would love to take this opportunity to travel together and help out in a community project where are skills could be used.
