Hello, my name is Ingrid, I am 30 years old and I am originally from Scotland. I have spent the last six years living in London working for a NGO which works to empower women in countries affected by conflict, I’m very passionate about this work. I’ve decided to take some time out and travel around Central and South America for the next few years.

I really enjoy being outdoors and in particular I enjoy working with animals, especially horses and dogs. I have been riding and working with horses for most of my life. I have spent a lot of time in Spain working at a trekking center, I spent time both managing the yard and also leading out treks as a guide. I massively enjoyed this and definitely wish to spend more time doing similar work!

The work I want to get involved is not restricted to working with animals. I also have a lot of experience working in various rolls in the hospitality industry including as a waitress, bartender and cleaner. I have volunteered in a number of hostels on this trip and really enjoy this too. I love to cook, particularly for other people and whilst not an expert I enjoy gardening.

I am willing to give pretty much anything I go, I want to travel and see as many places as I can. I love traveling, meeting new people and hearing their stories and learning about different cultures and life experiences. I love to try new things and will give everything a go at least once. I love being around other people and working as part of a team but also at the same time I enjoy peace and quiet and I am perfectly happy working by myself.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have lots of experience with horses in day to day care, riding, leading out treks and also helping beginners learning to ride.
I have also worked on farms with a wide range of animals and most recently in a dog sanctuary, this work including cleaning and feeding as well as administering medicine and assisting in rescues.
I have lots of experience in dealing with the public.
I'm not afraid of hard work or getting my hands dirty and will help out wherever I am needed.
I have experience working in hostels and across a range of other roles in hospitality including cleaning and bar tending.
I love to cook.
