Hi!
We’re Immy and Joe, a couple from the UK (aged 26 and 30), traveling the world as digital nomads. We’re passionate about experiencing the true culture and authentic lifestyle of each country we visit. We can't wait to connect with local communities, exchange knowledge, and contribute meaningfully during our travels.

We have a great sense of humour and don't take life too seriously - a smile costs nothing after all! As a team, we bring a diverse range of skills, we're hard-workers and love collaborating. You can read our individual bios further down.

We're both trustworthy and experienced house and pet sitters, and love spending time with animals. We regularly look after pets back at home in the UK through Rover and Trusted House sitters.

Together, we’re skilled at:
- Content Creation: Social media management, design, photography.
- Hands-On Work: Cooking (our biggest shared passion), cleaning, gardening, and getting our hands dirty!
- People-Oriented Roles: Teaching, hosting, and creating inclusive and welcoming environments.

Immy:

I am a hardworking, enthusiastic, smiley and caring young woman. I have travelled extensively throughout Asia and South America, and always try to volunteer during my trips because I think it helps bring more meaning and connection to travel. I’m PADI freediver qualified, and would love to continue my training. My love for the ocean means I’m passionate about sustainability, nature and conservation projects.

I’m a professional graphic designer so I have specialisms in:
Illustration and Design / Web Design / Social Media Marketing / Branding / Mural Painting / Workshop Facilitation and Co-Design / Creative Art Practices

General experience from previous roles:
Gardening / Teaching / Admin and Receptionist / Cooking in a Commercial Kitchen / Bar and Waiting Experience / Professional Childcare and Babysitting

Previous workaway volunteering experience:
- I have cared for children (as a Nanny in the Galapagos for 7 weeks)
- General maintenance, cleaning, cooking and childcare at an eco hostel in Manizales, Colombia
- Teaching English to school children in rural Central Java, Indonesia
- Teaching English to kindergarten children in Chiang Mai, Thailand
- Teaching English at a college to students and hosting conversational classes with teachers, in Florencia, Colombia
- Working in a Vietnamese English speaking café, Da Nang, Vietnam
- Worked on a rural, secluded colonial estate. Renovating the house, painting, gardening and maintenance - this involved communal co-living with a large group of volunteers. (We even constructed a DIY natural sauna!)


Joe:

I'm a friendly, energetic, and curious individual, passionate about participating in Workaways that help me grow as a person—whether by acquiring new skills, deepening my knowledge in a particular field, or building meaningful connections and friendships. I thrive in active, hands-on environments and enjoy tackling challenging tasks that involve problem-solving.

I’m currently challenging myself to learn new skills throughout my travels, this includes breath work, Muay Thai and photography.

I’m naturally social and good at connecting with people. Having studied Environmental Science at university, I have a love for animals, wildlife and nature. I’ve always had a strong commitment to sustainability and preserving the planet.

I’m a professional Digital Marketeer, specialising in paid social.

I can speak fluent English sufficient Spanish.
On previous workaways, I have cared for children (as a Nanny in the Galapagos for 7 weeeks). Taught english at schools in rural Indonesia and Columbia (age ranges from 10 - 20 years old). I've worked renovated a col

I have many crafting and design hobbies, from sign painting, to sewing my own clothes, to pottery and collaging. I have a love of sharing these passions with others and believe creativity feeds the soul and can be used as a great tool for many things: connecting with people, processing thoughts, problem solving and improving mental wellbeing.
I love to play netball, practice yoga, and wild swimming too. I love reading, particularly fiction.
