Description

Hi I'm Holly, a mature student studying biology at Durham University (England.) Me and my boyfriend Thao (studying business at Durham) are travelling across California this September looking for places where we can help out and explore the nature :)

A bit about me:

I have travelled across India and South East Asia volunteering with workaway and spent a year living in Australia working in hospitality and on an oyster farm. I have experience working with herbal supplements as a store manager at Holland & Barrett (a health food shop.) I also have experience picking and packing herbs from woofing with Sanaima herbs in Ibiza (with Thao) and working on Sothy's Pepper plantation in Cambodia.

I'm an experienced barista, I also enjoy preparing food and trying new recipes. I've been learning about gardening by volunteering at the botanical gardens alongside my degree, happy to assist in pruning, weeding and compost making alongside harvesting activities.

I've just completed my A2 level in French so I have a basic grasp of the language and I'm always looking to practice and improve!

A bit about Thao:

Hi, I'm Thao.
I'm currently studying marketing and management at Durham University. I'm currently on an internship (until end of August) in business communication, website design and development promotional material - I'd be happy to transfer my knowledge to help your business :)
I am passionate about exploring new cultures and travelling. I've had the opportunity to reside in various countries, including Africa for 5 years, Sweden for 1 year, England for 2 years, and the majority of my life in France. I really enjoy cooking (I started when I was 13) and I would love to make you discover new dishes. I also love sports (I play basketball, football, tennis, table tennis, and surfing). I'm fluent in French and English, and I can understand Spanish. So if you are interested, I'd be happy teach you French or help you practice!
