Hey there, I’m Holly! I’m off on another adventure as I can never really stay in one place too long and after living in Peru 10 years ago, I am finally coming back to the continent that stole my heart.

I’m a linguist by trade, working as a translator and interpreter from Spanish, Italian and French into English. I also dabble in a bit of Portuguese soon and hoping to spend some time in Brazil improving my Portuguese and sharpening my Spanish skills throughout Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Ecuador.

I also work for a coffee roastery in the UK and the purpose of my trip to to make connections with coffee farmers and to learn more about the growing, cultivating, harvesting, preparing of coffee before it gets to us at the roastery. My dream is to be able to bridge my skills in languages with my love of people, coffee and ethical and sustainable values. Supporting small independent, family run farms in their mission to continue the legacy and offer incredible coffees.

I am so excited to get back out exploring even more of South America and connecting with people doing fascinating and important work. I want to hear people’s stories, hearts and dreams and collaborate to help them achieve them in any way I can.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’m a professional translator and interpreter, but also turn my hands to a lot of other things really. I love gardening, cooking and learning new skills. I tend to pick things up very quickly and I’m always keen to get stuck in anywhere and learn from others to hone my skills.

I am a big fan of knitting, crochet, and all things yarns and crafting.

I speak French, Spanish and Italian and have a qualification to teach English as a foreign languages.

I have lots of experience working with people, both adults and children, and in fact I thrive in community and whilst connecting with others in their own cultures and in their own languages (as much as my language skills will allow me!)
