Description

We are Henrike and Sina, a couple from Germany and future educators/teachers who are passionate about learning - not just in the classroom, but through real-life experiences, by meeting new people, and discovering new places.

Here's a little more to know about us:

eudaimonía - a term used by Greek philosophers to describe a state of well-being and also Henrike's favourite word. There are various approaches as to how exactly this state can be achieved and Henrike tried different ways of doing so. She studies philosophy, where she explored ideas about happiness and what makes a good, fulfilling life. This sparked a lasting curiosity about how different people live and what we can learn from each other.

Sina is a passionate language learner who loves connecting with others through language and culture. In her free time, she enjoys playing board games, learning languages, acting (she is part of the French theatre of her university), being in nature, and photography.

Together, we are looking for a different kind of travel experience. We want to slow down (iin German, we have a great word for this: entschleunigen), take a break from a life online, and experience day-to-day rhythm closer to nature. We're vegetarian and love to try local food and recipes. If you'd like to, we can also make something for you.

All in all, we are open-minded, reliable, and motivated to help where needed. Being strong believers of life-long learning, we would love to learn a thing or two from you!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Our greatest strength is our curiosity and being easily fascinated by the world around us. As we're in our early and mid 20s, we are still trying to find our own path and main interests.
Over the past years we have been exploring diverse interests/hobbies/jobs and acquired skills in all of the following:
Learning and perfecting vegan recipes (e.g. learning how to make vegan honey using dandelions), working as a carer for physically disabled students, restoring an old wardrobe, learning German sign language, Japanese, and Dutch, going on Erasmus and living abroad, hiking and camping, studying philosophy, doing a teaching degree, babysitting, acting in a French theatre, working as a study assistant for blind people, helping out at festivals (organization, food packing, cooking, assembling and disassembling furniture, painting), ...

We are fast learners and would love to acquire new skills!
