Hey,
I‘m Helen, 19 years old and from a small town near Hamburg, Germany. Here I grew up in a family of four with my parents and my younger brother (16 years old).
After graduating this summer I want to do a gap year, which I would love to use for traveling and experiencing new countries and cultures. Therefore, I decided to join workaway. :)
In my free time I like to do yoga, ride the motorbike and be creative.
In addition to that I love to spend my time doing outdoor activities with friends and family.
My friends would probably describe me as a caring, reliable and funny person who’s alway up for new adventures.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I used to volunteer at our local church, where we organised summer camps and after school activities for children between 5 and 12. So that was a great opportunity to gain experience in working with children, teamwork and of course dealing with unexpected situations…

The past year I have been working in a company near by as an assistance to the human recourses department. There I learned how to stay organised, even if there is a lot to do all at once. Moreover, it included several new tasks and projects that required me to adapt new skills quickly and to work independently.

Due to the fact that my father is a chef, I grew up learning how to cook and bake home made dishes. That is why I am always motivated to learn new recipes and to share some of my favourites. :)
