Description

Since I grew up in the city, I didn’t really get in touch with nature in my everyday life. After graduating highschool last year, I wanted to change that, so I started travelling and gained more and more interest in designing a simpler way of living for myself that is not so much shaped by our normalized hyper consumerism. This particular motivation came to me when I travelled through south east asia this spring and spent a lot of time in rural areas. I’m especially interested in a cultural exchange and learning about gardening and general sustainability.
My travel journey has started last year and I’m planning on continuing to travel for another couple of years. Or maybe the rest of my life, if I figure out a way to work remotely and not be dependent on working in my hometown every summer.
I would consider myself a rather extroverted person and I’m looking forward to meet and learn from new people. To open myself up to randomness and regain my joy for adventures.
I speak fluent English and German, and I’m currently trying to learn Spanish as well, though I definitely still need a lot of practice with that. But I’m willing to participate in a language exchange and I generally believe that most things can be communicated easily, even if there’s a language barrier.
I hope to find new friends on this journey, learn more about nature and myself and shape my way of thinking in a positive way. :)

I am eager to learn more Spanish, if someone is willing to teach me a little bit. I also learned French at school for 5 years, but I honestly suck at it. If french is being spoken in a household though, I’d be glad to pick up on it again because I’m genuinely interested in the language. I am by no means a qualified teacher, but I could definitely help to improve one’s English or German skills, if someone‘s interested. :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am fluent in German and English and I’m trying to learn Spanish right now, as I’m travelling through Spain and South/Central America.
Because I stayed with a friend of mine in a small village in Cambodia for some time this year, I managed to become pretty creative at cooking with very limited ingredients. I also helped to cut down invasive plants and small trees on a property in Portugal this January, so I have some experience with that as well. But there’s definitely room to learn and I would love to get to know more about gardening and sustainability!
Apart from that I have a lot of travel stories and opinions about books and societal topics to offer, and I’m honestly always down for a talk. :)

As I already mentioned, I love to talk about societal topics. Especially politics, philosophy and general injustice.
And I always have a deck of cards with me and I know a lot of games. :)
