Hey there, my name is Helen and I am an 18 year old traveler from Germany who just graduated high school. Before I am starting a new chapter of my life by diving into the “University & Career world”, I want to widen my horizon. I want to learn some more things about myself and experience some freedom and independence. I really like meeting new people, because I think it is very interesting to see the diversity in our world. I love getting in contact with different countries and cultures and spending time with animals. I feel very connected to nature so I like spending time outside but also find it very interesting to explore cities.
I am positive I can contribute a lot on my journey and also learn a lot more about myself to widen my horizon.

In my opinion learning a new language can widen your horizon because learning a language for communication purposes is merely a bridge to learn and experience other cultures and express yourself in the best way possible to get in contact with new interesting people. By saying that I think it is no surprise that I want to learn new languages to experience new cultures and also learn more about myself.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have done a lot of internships in my school time so I experienced working with a lot of different people, which underlines my capability of working with people of all ages. I have also worked two jobs at a warehouse, so following orders and doing manual orders is definitely no problem for me at all. When I was in school I tutored a younger student in English and German for over a year so working with kids is also no problem for me. I have a big heart for our environment and love animals. Due to owning some animals for a long time and also getting in contact with animals in my daily life, working with animals is a passion of mine.
Last but not least I am very punctual, friendly, open minded, hardworking and reliable which is shown by my previous engagements and my “Abitur” (the German Diploma for graduating highschool)

So my hobbies are ballett, vaulting (performing exercises on horseback) and playing the oboe. I have done all of these activities for over 10 years and it still brings me a lot of joy. By dancing I can express myself on a deeper level and it helps me to deal with difficult situations. But where I feel most alive is when I am with animals. I am doing vaulting since I was 7 years so I guess you can say I grew up with horses. When I am with animals I can clear my head and just focus on this pure souls.
I have always done a lot of sport activities such as swimming but also skiing. Every winter my family and I go on top of the mountain to ski and it really helps me connect with nature.
Apart from that I also love reading, listening to music, hiking and enjoying nature in general but also exploring new cities and cultures.
Lastly, I also enjoy motorcycles, spending time with my family (especially my older brother) and being with my friends
