Hi dear hosts and travelers, I'm Helen and I just love to travel. I'm currently working on my masters degree for teaching and am therefore at the university. But in my free time I try to discover as much of the world as possible and learn new things! I also really enjoy working with animals and children, so I'm hoping to find a great host family that's just right for me!

My mother tongue is German. If you would like to learn German, I will be happy to help you. I can communicate well in English, but I am sadly not able to speak any Italian but I would love to learn the language!! :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a lot of experience with children. I am working at a primary school and also have a lot of experience with children (in the age of 1 years to 14 years) in other areas such as tutoring, children's church services, babysitting, helping out in a daycare or children's gymnastics. I also already minded 3 kids abroad. I therefore have many ideas on how to spend fun days with children and how to take care of them (e.g. putting them to bed, getting them ready in the morning, preparing food,...)
I also enjoy working with animals. I've been able to help out at a friend's sheep farm with bottle feeding the lambs and taking care of the other animals. I also stayed for two month on a sheep farm and learnd a lot about sheep and helped with sheering, feeding, vaccinating and moving the sheep. I love horseback riding and enjoy walking dogs. I have no problem getting my hands dirty either.
I also enjoy cooking and baking different dishes and trying out new recipes.
I also like to be outside, including in the garden, taking care of the plants and growing fruit and vegetables (e.g. potatoes, carrots, radishes, lettuce, ...)

I am a very positive and sociable person. So I'm looking for hosts who would like to integrate me into their lives and bring me closer to their culture! :)

I'm mainly looking for a job where I can help take care of children or animals but I'm also happy to help with DIY or nature-relates tasks!
