We are Hannes and Paula, a motivated and open-minded couple from the south of Germany. We both enjoy being around people, experiencing new cultures and living life with a positive and curious mindset. We value human connection, shared experiences and creating a friendly, enjoyable atmosphere wherever we are.
Before starting our professional careers, we decided to travel together to Colombia. We are especially interested in the country’s joyful, warm and social culture and see this journey as an opportunity to grow personally, connect with people and experience everyday life in a different environment.

About Hannes:
I am a 23 years old and a very energetic, positive and outgoing person who laughs a lot and loves to spread good vibes. Sport plays a big role in my life – I enjoy almost every kind of sport, especially ball sports, with football being my main passion. At the same time, I have a deep appreciation for nature and animals and enjoy spending time outdoors.
I am very communicative, extroverted and enjoys working with people and children. What matters most to me is that everyone around feels comfortable and enjoys life together. I believe that shared moments and positive energy can make everyday life a little more beautiful.

About Paula
I am an open-minded, empathetic and thoughtful person who enjoys connecting with people and being part of a community. I value meaningful interactions and I am naturally attentive to others. I enjoy creative thinking, design and art, and like to see ideas turn into something real. I enjoy being outdoors, spending time in nature and around animals. At home, I especially like outdoor activities such as camping in the mountains. Furthermore, I enjoy learning new things, being involved in different cultures and contributing positively to shared experiences.

We are both very interested in improving our Spanish and see the Workaway experience as a true language exchange. We would love to practice Spanish in everyday life and through real conversations, while at the same time happily sharing our German and English skills. For us, learning a language is not only about words and grammar, but about cultural exchange, communication and building genuine connections with people.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Paula:
After finishing high school, I completed a voluntary social year (FSJ) in an institution for people with disabilities. Through this experience, I learned to work patiently, respond to individual needs and support people in a respectful and empathetic way.
I also worked as a swimming instructor, where I gained experience in motivating people, guiding them step by step and adapting to different skill levels. In addition, I hold a lifeguard certificate, which strengthened my sense of responsibility, awareness and safety.
I recently completed my studies in Architecture and gained practical experience on construction sites. Through my studies, I developed strong skills in creative thinking processes, design concepts, planning and construction, as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of working.

Hannes:
I recently completed my studies in Industrial Engineering. Through my academic background, I developed a structured, reliable and solution-oriented working style. I approach tasks with confidence, responsibility and a positive attitude.
I’m very flexible, uncomplicated and not afraid of new or challenging tasks. I work well independently as well as in a team and always aim to complete my work in a thorough and committed way. My open communication style helps me integrate quickly into new environments and contribute actively wherever help is needed.
