Description

Hi, I’m Hannah! I’m 27 years old and from Bristol, UK.
At home, I work with children facilitating outdoor play sessions in communities and creative workshops with young people. Recently I was involved with a project supporting children to build their own adventure playgrounds using power tools, saws/hammers and wood - lots of fun! I have a varied background in education, healthcare and hospitality as well as studying jewellery making and design so have a mix of skills and like to give most things a go!

I am on Workaway because I want to explore New Zealand for the first time in a more intentional, slower pace and get to know people in communities and learn new skills. I'm travelling with a working holiday visa. I can follow instructions well, am a fast learner, am keen to have new experiences and I like to do jobs to a high standard. I am clean and tidy and respectful of other people and their spaces.

I love being outside in nature whether I’m walking, wild swimming or camping and my favourite possession is my beloved and well used bike! I play the trumpet (don’t worry I won’t bring it to NZ) and love to sing and listen to lots of different music.
I am a friendly, positive and open-minded person who is able to enjoy my own company but also loves people and learning about others and their lives.

*Since travelling in Aotearoa, as well as volunteering through workaway, I have done 'woofing' in a community where I helped to fill pot holes and other road maintenance, gardening, weeding/cutting back flax, weedwhacking/mowing, cleared fences, deep cleaning, collecting firewood, helped to cut down a tree and childcare. I have also worked with a food stall making wood fired pizzas by hand, worked at a wedding event and have done housekeeping in a hostel, an airbnb and a hotel.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Skills in childcare, artistic skills, general diy and doing practical tasks and am good with animals. I can cook vegetarian meals (Some really nice, some a bit experimental…) and cleaning/sorting. I am happy to help and contribute however I can.
