Hello!

My name is Chase, and I’m from British Columbia, Canada. I’ve just finished my studies in University and will be travelling for the spring through Central America. I wanted to have an adventure- to push myself out of my normal life, to learn to know myself better, and see what changes travel may bring. I’m very open, I love to meet new people, hear their stories and share a laugh whenever I can. I enjoy learning about new places, cultures and the histories of where my feet take me. I’m super outdoorsy, love to spend my time in nature and get my hands in the ground. I enjoy hiking, camping, diving and spending time on garden or farm projects.

I’ve taken 4 weeks if Spanish classes in Antigua, Guatemala and can understand the language when spoken fairly well. I can have basic conversations, but am always looking for a chance to practice more!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’ve worked as a biologist in past years so I’m no stranger to work that requires a lot of detail orientation and organization. I’ve also gotten to work with many different people from various backgrounds (from indigenous communities, nonprofit organizations as well as government ministries) and am well accustomed to being open minded and working between and across differences.
I’ve also worked in customer service and restaurants so I know the importance of being quick on tasks and friendly with my team and customers.
I’ve also volunteered on a community urban farm during my studies, so I’ve a good bit of experience tending to plants and have spent some time doing landscaping as well.
