Ciao! I'm Gianluca and I'm originally from Italy :)
I've joined the workaway network to live new experiences, discover new cultures and learn as much as possible.

At the beginning of 2024 I decided to quit my job in a multinational company, in order to "find" myself again and figure out about my life goals, ideally coming back to jobs that can make a difference for a better and greener world.
This decision came by the desire to follow my heart and my inner curiosity, which brings me to the willingness to travel, to reconnect to nature and to the essential things.

I come from a seaside town and therefore I feel myself deeply connected with the sea and what surrounds it, indeed my perfect night is made just by thoughts sharing with people on the beach, enjoying the sunset and the stars.

I'm an easy going person and I'm passionate about books, nature and music, and I play the guitar too, so yeah I can play Wonderwall during a bonfire :)

During my workaway experience I plan to improve my Spanish language skills and in the meanwhile learn more about sustainable living, gardening and deepen into yoga and meditation practices (and ideally learn how to surf!!).

I hope you got a bit of who I am from this presentation, a calm and positive spirit that looks forward for the next adventure to help people and learn about everything!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Through my work experience, I have skills in Marketing, Project Management and Planning/Scheduling activities.
I've always had interest in manual activities (gardening, renovating objects,...) even if I really hadn't practice strongly yet, but I assure you than I'm a proactive guy and I'm totally open to learn!

I am rather calm by nature, always ready to help, open-minded, with a thirst for discovery. I can play the guitar (intermediate) so I can offer you a background during the nights :D

I really like to spend time with animals, since at home I have 2 beautiful dogs and I love to play and cuddle with them, plus I got skills in childcare thanks to several babysitting sessions with my nephews (3 children) that enforced my inner patience :)

I speak English, Italian (native), Sicilian (a typical dialect from my region) and I can teach you some if you want!.
I really want to improve my Spanish, I'm not totally fluent but I understand more than I speak, so I'm totally willing to learn 😊
