Hi! We are an Italian couple travelling in New Zealand, South Island! We would love to help in agricoltural contest, to lern from close organic farming, permaculture and self-sufficency lifestyle!

Hello Workawayers!! 😄 We are Giada and Simone, an Italian couple, we are both 27 years old and a big curiosity for what we don't know pushed us to the other side of the world, to New Zealand (we like to imagine ourselves upside down🤣). At the end of 2022 we left for our first adventure: a big backpack on our shoulders, few certainties, a great desire to get involved and we flew to Australia, destination Perth. A year that taught us a lot, introduced us to wonderful people, left us indelible memories and working has fueled the dream to keep travelling in Asia. But one trip always calls for another.. and we couldn't resist to the call of Aotearoa!! We worked and travelled from north to south and we fell in love with this incredible country! During this year we collected experiences which have given rise to a strong interest in the world of organic agriculture and the themes of permaculture and self-sufficency. Whether it's the Aotearoa vibes or maybe this phase of our life oriented towards the rediscovery of simple and essential things (most likely both things together), we feel a strong interest in touching and living first hand a lifestyle in contact with nature, learning and respecting its ways and times. Even though we don't have a great deal of manual and gardening experience, we are really eager to learn and always willing to give our best! We hope to find someone passionate and willing to share this treasure of knowledge! We hope we can share precious time and help you with your project!!

For us there is a strong desire to develop new skills and test ourselves in activities we have never tried before!
So if you have the dedication or the time to teach us something necessary for your project we are happy to help you and be part of it!
For example, we don't have great skills in DIY, craft, building projects and carpentry, but we would be very interested in learning them.

About me Giada, I am a smiling, easy-going and passionate person! I'm always open to new challenges with a positive attitude! Especially in new environments, I'm driven to achieve and give my contribution, whatever the goal! Travelling is my greatest passion as well as the greatest driver of my growth. I'm a great lover of adventure and I love to constantly move in nature and come into contact with new countries, cultures, flavors, habits. Travelling for me doesn't only mean seeing new places, but meeting new people and understanding different realities. Every meeting, every conversation, every shared moment has an enormous value, it contributes to my understanding of the world and myself. It is through these experiences that I feel deeply alive and this pushes me to keep exploring, learning, growing.

About me, Simone, I always had great curiosity and interest in the habits and customs of the whole world. During the trip I like to observe local customs and I am always surprised by how beautiful and varied our planet is. I also have a real addiction to discover local recipes, I love food and I love tasting new dishes with the goal to replicate them! I am also characterized by a strong interest in sports: since I was a child I had the opportunity to enrich my days by practicing different sports, above all capoeira, a Brazilian martial art that brings with it centuries of traditions, discipline and songs to sing and play! I also love spending time listening to good music, which in many occasions is a real remedy to relax the mind. Last but not least, my passion for personal growth and adventure books!
