My name is Geronimo Bukosky, I am 21 years old, and I am committed to promoting the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities. I love traveling and discovering cultures different from my own: in August 2024 I began an exchange program in Brazil, an experience that has been enriching me both personally and socially.

I consider myself a sociable, cheerful, and altruistic person. I believe my strengths in connecting with others are my openness and willingness to help. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, who are essential to my growth. I also dedicate time to sports: currently, I go to the gym, run, and swim, but in the past I have practiced many different activities.

I love nature and the ocean, and surfing is one of my greatest passions. I would love to visit Costa Rica, as I believe it represents the perfect balance of the things I love most: nature, the sea, and the chance to discover new cultures. I am very connected to Argentina and to my family, who have shaped who I am today and continuously support me in my journey.

One of my dreams is to become a diplomat, as I aspire to travel the world, meet new people and cultures, and at the same time share my own.

I chose to apply through Workaway because I see it as a great opportunity to combine my passion for traveling with the chance to be socially productive and contribute in a meaningful way to society.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I study International Relations and currently speak Spanish, English, and Portuguese, while also studying Arabic. I learn languages easily, and I am both able and willing to teach Spanish, Portuguese, and English. It is a pleasure for me to share some of what I know while also learning from others.

I have experience working as a volunteer in a hostel, which gave me customer service skills. I am also very good at communication and introducing people to new places, so I would be more than happy to help with anything related to social media, blogs, or showcasing different destinations.

I enjoy cooking and sharing a bit of my culture wherever I go.

I had the pleasure of participating in a United Nations conference representing Latin America, at the UNCTAD Forum. I spoke about disability and the challenges of accessing education in our countries.

This experience has strengthened my public speaking skills, and I am also able to teach others how to debate or improve their own speaking abilities.
