Hello everyone, my name is Gerline van Leeuwen. I am 32 years old and l am from the Netherlands. The last 4,5 years I lived in Germany.

I have previously stayed and worked at several Workaway addresses in Scotland. These were wonderful experiences for both myself and the hosts. This has involved working on a farm, at a bed and breakfast, caring for a home and family, and caring for elderly people.

Taking care of animals is in my blood. I've been riding horses since I was 11 and have regularly taken part in competitions. I obtained my diploma after a 4-year study in animal care at Aeres College. During this study I did an internship in various places: at various zoos, a horse farm, farm animal zoo, pet shop, sheep farm and cat shelter. So you could say that I have quite a bit of experience taking care of animals. Since 2,5 years I have my own business as hoof trimmer for horses.

Now I am ready for a new challenge. I hope to gain some new unique work experiences during this trip.
I am a hard worker and I am not quick to complain. I want to develop myself further and I think this step would really help me achieve that. My English is quite good. I am an enthusiastic, cheerful, honest and very polite person.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am working currently as a hoof trimmer for horses, which I love. I have got a degree in professional animal care. During this study I learned thing like: the nutrition, health, cleaning, management and training of animals.

I have been taking care of other peoples animals when they were on vacation.

I also like to work outside (and don't mind the rain :)

Cooking is one of my skills and i am getting very positive feedback.

I am not afraid of some chores in and around the house, such as small repairs, cleaning and gardening. I am very motivated to learn new skills.

I have my trailer driver's license. And I have experience driving a tractor and other heavier machines.

My skills come out best when I work independently. Which makes me very self-reliant and independent. But I don't mind working together either.

Furthermore, I am reliable and have a high sense of responsibility. I am flexible, even if things don't go as intended I will continu. I am a real go-getter.

And I am physically fit. (I run half marathons:)

I have my own car, which is self-contained. I prefer to have a set place to sleep, but if this is not possible, I can also sleep in my car.

It's no problem for me to provide my one food because of my food intolerance.
