We (Josh, 26, M and Georgie 23, F) are motivated by the chance to experience new cultures and help out in communities in a way that’s all about learning and connecting with others. Volunteering overseas gives us the opportunity to see things from different perspectives, meet people from diverse backgrounds, and build genuine relationships. We’re excited to take part in experiences that will help us grow and understand the world better.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Josh is a qualified carpenter and has worked on residential building sites for over 5 years. He enjoys volunteering his time by doing work of his own for family and friends helping to renovate their houses and living spaces. He has recently just finished working on wind turbines throughout Australia and Asia as a supervisor where his role required him to work effectively in a team environment, interact professionally with clients and adapt to new challenges quickly. Josh is passionate about creating meaningful connections with new people while working hard and helping others.

Georgie's passion is caring for, teaching and working with children of all ages. She has found enjoyment in this after working in childcare centers, swimming schools and as a nanny for infants, children and teenagers since 2018. She enjoys the meaningful and trusting relationships you can build when working closely with children and their families. Compassion, patience, fast paced problem solving and creativity are skills Georgie has mastered during her time working with children.

Georgie has also worked as a tour guide for the last 2 years on the worlds largest sand island, K'Gari. This job involved leading groups of up to 31 backpackers in 4X4 cars around the island for 3 days whilst being responsible for their safety, their meals and sharing knowledge and history about the island itself.

Georgie and Josh share a love for living a healthy lifestyle from being in the kitchen at home to everything outdoors! Our shared passions are surfing, rock climbing, ocean swimming and running. We believe its important to keep our bodies moving and to stay fit and healthy. We also love making homecooked meals and discovering new recipes.
