Hi there :)

I'm Geanne, a spontaneous, curious, adventurous girl from the Netherlands. I am 22 and have just finished my first year of studying global project and change management (this comes down to project management but than with a focus on the topics of the SDG's) in the Netherlands. I really enjoyed this, however during this year I have discovered for myself that learning by sitting in school is not the best way for me. Instead I would like to follow my direct motivations and work more hands on in projects. I am interested in projects that are related to inspire people to connect to nature, self-sustaining places, permaculture, alternative education, building/woodworking, and loads of things that I still need to discover ;) For me there is a lot of importance in moving to a more sustainable world and I would like to contribute to this by learning in different ways how I myself could do this and inspire other people as well.

I really like to work with other people and contribute together for a common vision/mission. People consider me as a creative, enthusiastic, and active person. I would not say that I am a most handy person yet, but I would say I am a quick learner and have a good portion of enthusiasm.

I am used to living together and share spaces. I enjoy being around people, but also really appreciate some time by myself. I love deep conversations, but also have a child spirit and love to joke around and act crazy. I enjoy doing sports such as climbing and challenge myself.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Work experience

For the past 7 years I have been working at a group accommodation/campsite where offer outdoor activities. I started with maintenance work and cleaning. But now I'm an allrounder, I lead the outdoor activities (archery, paintball, survival etc.), work in our lunch cafe, work at weddings/family parties, work at the reception.

Working at a campsite in Belgium for three summers. We were having a lot of responsibilities as a young team. We created and lead the activities for the children and adults, worked in the restaurant and kitchen. and all the little jobs that comes to working on a campsite.

Furthermore I did little things on the side such as picking fruits on a farm, helping a couple with their garden, and I used to babysit a lot when I was younger.

Travel experience

My first travel experience on my own was 2021. It was my first gap year after high school. I have been to Portugal and did workaway. I worked at a disabled children centre where I took care for a lot of animals. I also worked on a farm where we were doing construction work and we were taking care of the garden. Then I went to Tenerife for a marine conservation volunteer project for three months. we were doing research there and building up our own farm.

In 2022 I traveled with my van through the South of Europe. I stayed for some time with a Shepard in Spain and helped on an alternative primary school in Portugal for a month. At this school I gained my interest in alternative education.
