Hello! My name is Giles and I'd describe myself as a hard-working and adventurous person who's keen on learning new things. I've recently graduated from university with a degree in Forestry, and have a deep appreciation for all things nature.

I love working outdoors, and have particular experience with trees and using chainsaws (with relevant certificates too). In my spare time I love going on hikes, camping, and wild swimming. I've also recently taken up the hobby of vintage film photography.

Currently, I'm taking some time post-studies to travel and explore different countries and cultures, which has lead me to join Workaway. I'm excited about the opportunity to contribute, learn, and make meaningful connections along the way!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience using chainsaws, chippers and log-splitters. I have certificates in chainsaw maintenance, cross-cutting, as well as felling small trees (available at request). I also have experience in general labouring outside, and basic maintenance such as painting, planting and weeding. I am also 6ft3 so can reach high places if needed!

I have an interest in vintage cars, and own a 1989 Peugeot 309 which I enjoy learning how maintain and fix parts when needed (which is quite often with an older vehicle!). I'm also an avid reader and when not outdoors, spend a lot of my time reading books, both fiction and non-fiction.
