Hello!

My name is Frida. I am an 20-year-old Norwegian girl. I joined WorkAway to hopefully learn a new language, discover new cultures and meet lovely people. In return I believe I am great with children, I love animals and I consider myself an eager learner. I am a positive, caring and extroverted person. I am friendly and openminded. I am very motivated to do something different and new!

I have experience with volunteering through Workaway. I spent three unforgettable months in Spain from September to December 2023. I took care of an 11 year old beautiful girl named Uda. I taught her English and stayed together with her and her lovely mother Tania and their two cats. This experience taught me much in many ways; language, culture and to build relations beyond borders. The three months I spent in Spain gave me a second family, and memories I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I would love to visit Spain again, but I am also open for new countries. I am available from January and until June.
My family and friends are extremely important to me, I love spending time with them. My little sister is the most important person in my life, we share a lot of the same interest. We enjoy making food, going on walks and act like we are professional singers ;) In my family there is no such thing as silent dinners, and we talk about everything. We also have a cat, his name is Muskatt. He is 10 years old and very cute. I love spending time with kids, something I am well used to through younger cousins and friends of my family. I am an active girl, and throughout the years I have played handball, as well as I took dancing and singing classes. I love being active, whether it is hiking in the mountains, skiing, running or going to the gym. I love to travel and learn about new cultures through food, language and way of living. New experiences is what motivates me to travel.

I come from Oslo, the capital of Norway. There I finished high school, three years at a school called Foss. The school is located in an urban district where music, art and good atmosphere is always around. Through my years at school, Spanish has always been my favourite subject. New languages, and especially Spanish, is something I find very interesting. I love the Spanish language, the way of speaking and the passion. I would love to speak Spanish fluently one day. I speak english fluently, as we start learning english from the age of 6 to the age of 18 in Norway.

I am hardworking, dependable and someone you can trust.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

This summer I graduated high school. That means thirteen years of education. Chemistry, mathematics and Spanish are the three main subjects i have studied through high school, as well as the common subjects, such as Norwegian, physical education, history, physicks, sociology, religion and English.

Norwegian is my native language. I speak English fluently. I have studied Spanish for six years and will love to learn more.

For four months, from december to april, I worked as a waiter at a vegan restaurant. This was my first job, which I got through a friend of mine. I loved the job, and I learnt a lot. The job consisted of different tasks; I had to clean and wash, take peoples orders and serve food. The reason I loved the job, was the many lovely customers I met.
