I am interested in activities with animals, espacially horses!

Description

Hello! I am Floor, a 20 year old girl from Belgium. I live near the university city of Leuven, where I study psychology. This summer I will finish my bachelor degree. After that, I plan on getting my master.

My village is very peaceful, next to a beautiful forest in the flemish speaking part of Belgium, on the border with the french speaking part. I don’t speak french at home, but I would love to get better at it!! (we used to learn it at school when we were younger, so I can understand some french). I live with my parents, two sisters and one brother, of which I am the eldest. My aunts and grandmother also live nearby, so I am used to spend a lot of time with my family.

I love to go on an adventure and I am used to do some work. I have experience in horeca and I work for more than 4 years now in a bakery in my town. I have done some hiking vacations with my family in Norway, Italy, France and Spain. There we usually sleep in our tent or caravan.

In my free time I like to go out with my friends, or do some drawing and reading. I love to have people around me, but I can also enjoy some time by myself in nature.
I am also an ‘animator’ for kids in the Chiro (that’s a youth movement where we volunteer to entertain groups of kids every sunday, and in summer we go to camp with all the groups). Except from that, I also babysit a lot, so I have a lot of experience with kids.

I love animals, especially horses. I used to ride when I was young, and I never lost my love for those beautiful animals. Except from getting better at french/spanish, the main reason that I want to go on a Workaway trip is to get to know more about horses and to make my dream of working (and riding) at a horse farm come true.
