Welcome to my profile! My name is Johannes, and I am a 27-year-old from southern Germany. I just finished my masters degree in mechanical engineering and now I take some time of to discover the world and try to go on a inner journey to myself.

In my free time, I enjoy engaging in outdoor activities and various sports such as running, skitouring, cross-country skiing, gravel cycling and hiking. I am no stranger to hard work and enjoy pushing my limits.

I had my first Workaway experience in Scotland at the beginning of my studies, and it was an incredible experience. I felt at home after just one week and was able to improve my English while meeting new people. I very much enjoy the feeling of being immersed in the hosts daily surrounding

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I consider myself to be a versatile individual with a willingness to learn new things. I have basic knowledge of metal and wood working, renovating, and I am capable of comprehending complex tasks quickly.

As a coach for rowing and cross-country skiing, I have gained valuable experience working with children and groups. I am also a member of a team that organizes rowing regattas, which has taught me valuable skills such as managing complex projects and adapting quickly to new challenges.

Through over 20 part-time jobs, I have gained experience in the catering and hospitality industry in different settings and learned to adapt quickly to new tasks.

If you require someone with strength and stamina, I am looking forward to help you. I like to keep in good physical shape and I am not opposed to handling physically demanding tasks. Additionally, I am friendly and always open to meeting new people and getting to know their backgrounds.

You may wonder about the one negative review I received from a previous host. I was also surprised by the negativity of their comment. However, I want to assure you that this experience is not typical, and people generally have a more positive impression of me. The host only raised their concerns on the last evening of my stay, without any previous comments made before. That is a pitty because I am very open to critisism and self reflection and like to share opinions so that everyone can feel comfortable. We might have seen things a little different there and the very artistic parts in the work was probably not a good match for me.
