Ciaoo I'm Filippo!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always felt a deep desire to explore the world, learn about different cultures, and meet new people. This year, I decided to leave my office job for good and start shaping a life that better matches what I truly care about. Since then, I’ve been traveling through Southeast Asia, discovering wonderful places, cultures, and people. That experience completely changed the way I see the world and inspired me to travel through Latin America to continue learning. I spent time in Nicaragua volunteering on an ecological project which I am now doing again in the OSA penisula, Costa Rica.
I have a strong passion for cooking and would love to learn more about local cuisines. I really enjoy spending most of my time outdoors, playing sports, going hiking, or relaxing at the beach. Being close to nature and taking care of animals brings me joy, peace, and a deep sense of connection. I’m also very interested in joining ecological projects and helping with animal care. In addition, I’d love to learn new crafts and practical skills to continue to grow and learn every day.
I speak Italian, English, and Filipino (Tagalog) fluently. My Spanish is basic-intermediate level, I can hold a conversation — that’s exactly why I’m traveling through Latin America: to practice and improve it.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I worked in hospitality for 8 years, which has given me experience in bartending, kitchen work, customer service, and management in international settings. This experience has also allowed me to interact with other cultures and to practice other languages.
In the last 2 years, I have also worked in an office environment, which has given me a lot of valuable computer skills and communication with various types of people in various situations.
Working across different environments and with different people helped me adapt to any situation.

My volunteering experience so far:
In Nicaragua, I volunteered on an island to clean the plastic from the shoreline and plant trees.
In Costa Rica, I am volunteering as a tour guide and also helping with kitchen management and cooking for the retreat guests.

I also have experience in reception and gardening, and I am eager to learn a wide range of skills.
