Passionate, Playful, Creative, and Adaptable Guy on 1 Year Working Holiday in Japan! (to start with :D)

Konnichiwa! Watashi wa Fiachna desu. Hajimemashite! 🙇‍♂️

I’m an Irish/English and a little bit Italian actor and creative educator with a BA in Screen Acting, a great background working with children, and over 4 years of hospitality experience and a background in festival catering/ community living. I thrive in interactive, hands-on environments where I can bring my energy, storytelling, and creativity to the table.

My Background & Skills:
• Teaching & Working with Children – Founded a youth drama club at 17 and led a film project with children to raise awareness about smoking. Currently completing a Level 5 TEFL certification (12-hour classroom practicum done), eager to gain English teaching experience in creative, engaging settings.
• Acting, Filmmaking & Storytelling – Experience in theatre, film, and voice acting, including directing and performing in a radio drama and creating a one-man musical street show. Comfortable on stage, behind the camera, and in interactive performances.
• Hospitality & Community Work – Worked in cafés (my first job was in a Japanese sushi cafe in Ireland) , restaurants, and a five-star hotel; helped run an Airbnb; and managed social media marketing. Experienced in communal living and adaptable to new environments.
• Cooking & Baking – Passionate about food, especially baking, and happy to help in the kitchen.
• Social Media & Content Creation – Skilled in video editing and digital storytelling.

I’m currently in Japan looking for meaningful Workaway experiences where I can contribute my skills—whether that's teaching, performing, playing with kids, or hands-on community work. I bring all my enthusiasm, adaptability, and a creative approach to all I do. If you need someone who’s hardworking, engaging, and full of creative energy, I’d love to help!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

** Formal Education **
I have a BA Honours in Screen Acting
Awarded the award at my college for Best Short Film produced. Also directed and produced and audio drama.
Teaching English - Currently completing level 5 TEFL Diploma.

**Practical Education**
I have a family background in an off grid eco village/community/festival setting, so very adaptable, social, outgoing and great at thinking on my feet. I'm resourceful experienced with cooking and baking off grid, making fires, cooking on fires, heat, comfort and cleanliness in electricity free zones / wooden roundhouses and tents.
Helping out with set up and set down of large tents.
Cooking for large groups.
I've been part of tree planting commitunity projects.
Some basic DIY, eg. helping my mother renovate her house, always eager to learn new skills too!

I love (and am pretty great at) baking and cooking, for groups also, I love learning new recipes. (Italian mother and Indian obsessed father father made for an interesting culinary background)

**Experience**
I have great experience (and aptitude) working with kids. From hosting kids parties, doing a street performance of a Disney inspired musical one man show. I also set up a drama club in my teens Galway have run a few workshops. I've volunteered with a youth project in a "create a film to encourage quit smoking" project.

Theatre experience, Storytelling and entertaining. Creating sketches with friends. I love singing, writing and collaborating creatively on projects.

I have over 4 years experience in hospitality, from waiting, barista and serving, to hosting guests at a family run Airbnb, cooking, cleaning and making beds. I've worked in cafes, big events in London and a five star Hotel in Ireland. And I'm looking for more outdoors / practical / creative work :D
