Hi there! Welcome to my profile :) My name is Evie. I am 26-years-old originally from Bristol in the United Kingdom but I am currently travelling through Central and South America. I am always looking for new and exciting experiences on my travels and joining the WorkAway community feels like a great way to dive into this further. I am a positive person with a friendly and outgoing demeanour and I enjoy immersing myself into different cultures, connecting with new people, and learning from others. While English is my native language, meeting people from all corners of the world has sparked my passion for language learning. I am always eager to engage in language exchanges and especially improve my beginner Spanish. I am really into the world of art and music, and when I’m not discovering new tunes, I am often searching for the next great film or series to watch. I love getting out into nature as much as possible and I am always on the lookout for a good sunset. I love throwing myself into new hobbies and projects, whether it’s a creative endeavour or an adventurous activity, I believe it’s a good chance to step out of my comfort zone, gain practical skills, and experience life from a fresh perspective!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

With extensive experience in administration and customer-facing roles, I have polished my skills in organization, adaptability, and communication, whether in person, via email, or over the phone. My degree in English Literature and Film Studies has also strengthened my precision in tasks, writing, and IT skills.

While working at a university in a student support role, I had the chance to really develop my interpersonal skills. I enjoyed helping students with their different queries which could often be quite complex. This experience allowed me to develop a friendly and effective approach and a greater understanding of the diverse needs of people.

In addition, my various service and bartender roles have further enhanced my friendly and courteous attitude with customers. These roles have also improved my ability to meet tight deadlines, manage time effectively, and multitask efficiently. I am independently motivated but also thrive in team settings, where I can enjoy building meaningful and respectful relationships with my teammates. I pride myself on being inclusive and communicating well with people from diverse backgrounds.

I have also spent a lot of time babysitting, and I believe my caring nature helps create a secure and supportive environment for children. Additionally, I love looking after pets while their owners are away, as I am a big animal fan. I really enjoy getting creative with DIY projects—whether it’s planning fun activities for kids, working in the garden, or tackling tasks around the house, I am always eager to help out where I can.
