Hi, my name is Eve, I am 18 years old and just started my Workaway journey.
I’m from Germany and currently in a phase where I’m taking time to explore life beyond the “standard path".

After finishing school I moved out, I started studying law, but I realized quite quickly that this very structured and theoretical way of life wasn’t what I was looking for at the moment. So I decided to step back and give myself the chance to gain real-life experiences, meet different people, and find out what truly fits me.

Right now, I’m living at home again, which gives me the space to rethink my direction and focus on what actually makes me happy. I’ve realized that I feel best when I’m outside, surrounded by nature, animals, or simply in a calm and grounded environment.

I’m especially interested in working with animals - I love horses and grew up with my own Icelandic horses -
I’m also open to many other things like gardening, helping around the house (especially cooking), creative projects, or supporting wherever help is needed. I also enjoy spending time with children and being part of a positive, supportive environment.

I like learning by doing and I’m not afraid to try new things.

What motivates me most is the idea of collecting meaningful experiences instead of just following a predefined path. I want to meet people with different lifestyles, understand new perspectives, and grow through those experiences.

I would describe myself as open-minded, reliable, and reflective. I enjoy both good conversations and quiet moments, and I really appreciate the small things — feeling useful, learning something new, and being part of a place, even if just for a while.

Through Workaway, I hope to create meaningful memories, learn practical skills, and find inspiration for the direction I want to take in the future.

I’m very interested in languages and communication, both in learning and sharing them. German is my native language, and I speak English fluently — I feel very comfortable having conversations and connecting with people in English, even though I’m always happy to keep improving. I also have some basic knowledge of Spanish and would love to develop it further. I really enjoy learning languages through real-life experiences, conversations, and cultural exchange. At the same time, I’d be happy to help others with German or English if needed. In general, I’m curious about different cultures and ways of communication, and I see language as a great way to connect with people.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I would describe myself as a reliable and motivated person who enjoys learning by doing and quickly adapting to new environments.

Through my current job in a bakery, I’ve gained experience in working in a fast-paced environment, dealing with customers, staying organized, and taking responsibility. It has also taught me how to stay friendly and focused, even during busy or stressful situations.

I’m generally a hands-on person and happy to help wherever needed — whether it’s cleaning, organizing, supporting daily routines, or helping with physical tasks. I enjoy practical work and don’t mind getting my hands dirty.

I’m especially interested in working with animals, particularly horses, and I’m very willing to learn more in this area. I’m attentive, patient, and respectful when it comes to both animals and people.

I also feel comfortable being around children and contributing to a positive, supportive environment, whether that means helping with simple tasks or just being present and reliable.

In general, I’m adaptable, open-minded, and eager to learn new skills. I may not know everything yet, but I’m motivated, quick to understand new tasks, and always willing to give my best.
