Hi everyone!
For the next few months I'll be travelling in Peru, and I would love to be a part of some workaways while I'm there. It seems like a wonderful way to get to know the country, it's people and fellow travellers, while also contributing to and learning from interesting projects and places. I look forward to meeting you!
A little bit about me: my name is Eva, I'm a positive, sensitive and humoristic girl from the Netherlands. I recently graduated from the master programme Urban Environmental Management there, and while I have LOVED my time as a student, I am equally excited to start a new phase in my life. Before i throw myself into a job, however, I want to take some distance from the life as I've known it for the last seven years. Since my brother is getting married in Peru, I thought I might as well grasp the opportunity to explore the country, take time to reflect and hopefully get inspired by the people I will meet on the way. I'm very curious as to what the next few months will bring :)
I am easy-going and I love to connect with people, either through humor, good conversations and sharing new experiences! I get a lot of energy from big groups, but I have also learned to enjoy my own company, and it's something that I realize I need in order to be fully present in my relationships. When alone, I love to go on walks, do yoga, meditate, cuddle with my cat and read books. I also love writing and making cut-out poetry, and I recently got (back) into improvisation theatre and ecstatic dance! I love to try out new hobbies every now and then, and am usually open for any plan or project ;)
What I have to offer as a Workawayer would be my eagerness to learn, my pro-active and positive attitude and my open communication style. I have experience in customer service as well as some in childcare, cleaning and cooking for large groups, and I LOVE organizing/cleaning-up. My academic background in sustainability and climate adaptation could also be of use for sustainability projects. I am not hestitant to get my hands dirty and I'm a hard worker who likes to learn new skills.
I'm looking for a place where I can 'settle' into the country, culture and the spanish language: somewhere warm and welcoming where I have the opportunity to connect with people and contribute to something meaningful as well as take time for myself to reflect and enjoy the beautiful Peruvian nature!

En los próximos meses estaré viajando por Perú, ¡y me encantaría formar parte de algunos Workaways mientras esté allí! Me parece una forma maravillosa de conocer el país, su gente y otros viajeros, mientras también contribuyo a proyectos interesantes y aprendo de ellos. ¡Estoy muy emocionada por lo que viene y espero conocerlos pronto!
Un poco sobre mí: me llamo Eva, soy una chica positiva, de mente abierta, sensible y con mucho sentido del humor de los Países Bajos. Hace poco me gradué de un máster en Urban Environmental Management y, aunque AMÉ mi tiempo como estudiante, estoy igual de entusiasmada por comenzar una nueva etapa en mi vida. Sin embargo, antes de lanzarme de lleno a un trabajo, quiero tomar distancia de la vida que he llevado durante los últimos siete años. Como mi hermano se casa en Perú, pensé que sería la oportunidad perfecta para explorar el país, reflexionar y, con suerte, inspirarme con las personas que conozca en el camino. ¡Tengo mucha curiosidad por lo que los próximos meses me traerán!
Soy relajada y me encanta conectar con las personas a través del humor, buenas conversaciones o un buen abrazo. Me llena de energía estar en grupos grandes, pero también he aprendido a disfrutar de mi propia compañía, algo que he descubierto que necesito para estar completamente presente en mis relaciones. Cuando estoy sola, me encanta salir a caminar, hacer yoga, meditar, acurrucarme con mi gato y leer. También disfruto escribir y hacer poesía recortada, y recientemente he retomado el teatro de improvisación y el baile extático. Me gusta probar nuevos hobbies de vez en cuando, ¡y generalmente estoy abierta a cualquier plan o proyecto!
Como Workawayer, puedo ofrecer mi entusiasmo por aprender, mi actitud proactiva y positiva, y mi estilo de comunicación abierto. Tengo experiencia en atención al cliente, así como en cuidado de niños, limpieza y cocina para grupos grandes, y ¡ME ENCANTA organizar y ordenar! Mi formación académica en sostenibilidad y adaptación al cambio climático también podría ser útil para proyectos relacionados con el medio ambiente. No me asusta ensuciarme las manos y soy una trabajadora comprometida que disfruta aprender nuevas habilidades.
Estoy buscando un lugar donde pueda "asentarme" un poco en el país, la cultura y el idioma español: un lugar cálido y acogedor donde tenga la oportunidad de conectar con las personas, contribuir a algo significativo y, al mismo tiempo, tomarme tiempo para reflexionar y disfrutar de la hermosa naturaleza peruana.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I don't have a lot of practical skills, but I am a hard worker with a positive attitude and I pick things up quite fast! I have some experience with taking care of animals and have done quite some babysitting. I also meditate and would probably be able to guide meditations or tell people more about it! I also play volleybal and would be happy to teach people how to play as well :). I also have some basic knowledge on how to do chores and basic maintenance around the house. I also have quite a lot of experience with social media and can assist with this!
